August 2000 It's 2 AM, do you know where your mind is? I know where mine is. It's running like a hamster on one of those little exercise wheels, running over the same ground over and over and over and over and over.I think about people, names, people I've met online, how much I've grown to care for them and about them.... And even to love them. I think about my job. My horrible, heart-consuming job. Don't get me wrong, I like the Air Force, I like the people in the Air Force. But my job has been wearing at me and wearing at me. In that sense, I'm the block of wood the hamster chews on. I think about my family. But it's hard. I think about those people who have made an impact on my life. You know who you are... You're the ones on my Prexus friends list. You're the ones I love, the ones I turn to in time of need, the ones who understand me. |
