Desire and Love
Blood burns hotter than the
brightest star
Heart beats pulsing, filled with desire
Never afraid that it's gone too far
Always sure it will rise ever higher
A quieter flame begins to
take shape
Amidst the throbbing heat of desire
It lingers still, defiantly waits
As the bonfire mellows from atop the spire
The embers dying, slowly
fading away
The single flame burns brighter still
It appears steady, clinging, here to stay
It moves of itself, of it's own will
Desire is smoldering...but
the flame is here
A gift full of promise, a joy from above
A full forward movement, devoid of fear
The flame lingers still, and it's name is love
